In 2021, the Nordic clinker boat traditions were inscribed on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. Learn about the clinker building technique and the history of the fisheries and boat building on the north coast of Zealand.
Tickets
Date: Tuesday, 4th August, 17.–18.30.
Price: 95 kr. + ticket fee. Buy your ticket at Nationalparkbooking. The price includes the entrance fee at Gilleleje Museum.
There are limited tickets available, and this is the only tour in English – so please reserve your tickets early. The tour is cancelled if less than 15 tickets are sold.
The tour starts at Gilleleje Museum, Østergade 20, 3250 Gilleleje.
Parking: At Gilleleje Station or the parking lot on Kystvejen. There is no parking at the museum.
Unfortunately, the tour is not suitable if you have difficulty walking.
Guide
Jon Voss is curator and historian at Museum Nordsjælland. Among other things, he works with the preservation of valuable cultural landscapes and historic buildings. He has a particular interest in environmental history, including forest history, the history of fisheries, and the history of hunting.
